Mighty Modern

If the Mighty Ducks were still "Mighty" today, Matt McElroy thinks they might look like this.

The Rockies

The Colorado Avalanche still have two uniforms left to reveal to us for the 2015-16 season — a new third jersey and a Stadium Series sweater. Today, we get a couple of designs from the prolific and creative Bastian Schmülling — who envisioned the "C" shoulder patch more than a year ago.

Tampa Bay Remix

This is what the Tampa Bay Lightning missed in their progression of uniforms between 2007 and 2011. Had they landed here, they might not have needed to move on again so soon. It's a solid design from newcomer Brendan Poe, who writes:

This uniform brings back black and gray to their color scheme, making them the only team in the league to use it. The jersey design is inspired by the original "Bolts" alternate jersey and adds more character to them, and avoids them being called "Red Wings/Leafs hybrids.
The pants also keep the lightning bolt stripe that has been a part of their identity since the beginning and the logos that came from the original Reebok Edge redesign are brought back to match the new color scheme.

Checkered

Tyler Kochan wants to give new uniforms to the AHL's Charlotte Checkers. Thoughts?

Legault's Expansion I

Over the next few Saturdays, Christian Legault is tackling a big project — NHL expansion! He's invented franchises complete with logos and jerseys for every city that's been on expansion radar. We're starting this week with the Las Vegas Silver Bullets.

Which potential NHL town would you like to see next week — Seattle or Quebec City?
