If you were worried the Calgary Flames wouldn't show up in their throwback jerseys this season, fear not! The classic uniforms will make an appearance Thursday for Retro Night as the Flames host the Flyers.
Goalie Jonas Hiller revealed some specially designed gear for the game in a video on the team's website. (See some stills from it above.)
It's nice to see the Flames bringing back their original sweaters. I just wish they'd do it more often — maybe even full time. Who's with me?
The throwbacks were last worn in Calgary about a year ago when the Flames honored Joe Nieuwendyk on "Forever a Flame" night.
While we're talking Flames, I wanted to point out the specialty jersey the Adirondack Flames have worn in the AHL for a couple of games recently. It's modeled after their parent club's current third jersey. Thoughts?
