Providence Bruins reveal retro third jersey

This week's parade of new hockey sweaters continues in Rhode Island where the Providence Bruins just unveiled their new third jersey for 2015-16.

From the press release:

The new home alternate was inspired by the sweater worn by the Boston Bruins from 1934-1936, featuring a white base with gold and black striping, as the Providence Bruins continue to celebrate their parent club and honor one of the classic brands in hockey.

With this news, the P-Bruins' previous alternate uniform gets a promotion. It becomes the new road jersey this season as the previous road jersey is retired.

For those who were hoping to see a jersey like this at the NHL Winter Classic in Boston next January, it's probably a long shot now. But it will be interesting to see how the two compare.
