Good news. I'm still here.
I've received lots of emails and tweets in recent weeks from concerned readers wondering where I went. My last entry on the blog was almost two months ago — yet it's been a busy two months in the world of hockey sweater news. But not to worry, I'll get to it all very soon. For now, I just wanted to check in and let you know what's up.
My extended absence isn't to do with laziness or lack of interest. Without going into too much personal detail, suffice to say I lost someone very close to me right before the holidays. Not that there's ever a good time for it, but Christmas has to be one of the worst. That it came suddenly and caused by a still unknown illness made it that much harder on me and my family.
While I was dealing with that, the blog was obviously not a priority in my life. And as I'm the only one here to run it, things slowed down. Despite that, I have made an effort to keep the Concepts page updated with daily posts (albeit posted a bit late some days).
I'm sharing this not to seek sympathy but rather out of respect for my longtime readers. You deserve an update on the site's status and I apologize for leaving you in the dark so long.
As things in my world have finally started to settle down, I'm coming back to the blog. There's a lot to talk about — the Flyers' Stadium Series sweater, the 2017 NHL All-Star jerseys, and, most of all, significant changes coming when Adidas takes over NHL uniforms in 2017-18.
Look for all that and a lot more as I get back to blogging this weekend. And thank you for sticking around!
