The Dallas Stars will celebrate 25 years in the NHL during the 2017-18 season. This morning they unveiled the logo and shoulder patch they'll use to mark the occasion. It's based on the Texas-shaped secondary logo used on the pants of the team's uniform since 2013.
The Stars will also retire the fifth jersey number in franchise history next year. Jere Lehtinen's No. 26 will be raised to the rafters alongside Nos. 7, 8, 9, and 19.
Here's a look at what the Stars wore during the abbreviated 2012-13 season to mark their 20th anniversary — their last in green and gold.
