0390: Calgary Back in Black

I must admit this Flames jersey is an older concept from Nick Burton. He sent it in almost a year ago — so it doesn't really fit in with his current design aesthetic — and I'm only now getting to it. What does that tell you about the backlog? Anyway, I'm posting it because I think it's a neat look — for a black jersey.

Also, Happy Pi Day!

0389: Starring the Weagle

The extremely prolific Bastian Schmülling has a cool set for the Washington Capitals today. Every time I see a concept with the Weagle on it, I keep wondering why this team hasn't already done a third jersey with it. It's a great logo. And unlike their primary mark — it's an actual logo.

0388: A Gold Star

I've received a lot of Dallas Stars concepts since the team announced their intentions to launch a rebrand next season, but I'm trying to spread them out a bit here. Today, we get a look at another one from Bryan Dyck. Unfortunately, it's a little too dull for my tastes. But I do like the slanted collegiate-style numbers. I don't think anyone has done that since the Tampa Bay Lightning during their second season in 1993-94 — coincidentally the Stars' first in Dallas.

0387: Black Devils

Today, Victor You offers his take on what a black third jersey would look like for the New Jersey Devils. It's a little plain, but that may be just the thing for the Devils — who have never had an alternate uniform in more than 30 years.

0386: The Angry Dragons

Our Beer League Sundays series picks up today in Brampton, Ontario with the Angry Dragons! Jeremy Motley writes in with a look at how his team came to life.

Just was catching up with the blog today. I saw the Eskimo Brothers post on the concept page and thought I'd throw another beer league concept that turned real your way. My team is called the Angry Dragons. It started with a logo done for fun and turned into a reality thanks to a sponsorship from one of the guy's employers. Hope you like it!

Jeremy also passed along this photo of the uniform.
