Boston-Montreal Freak Out

Two longtime rivals are meeting in Round 2 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Brandon Holmes has made the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens the basis of this week's Freak Out Friday post. What if the Habs and Bruins kept their colors but swapped uniform designs?

Might look a little something like this. Freak or what?

Ice Bowl XLVIII

I'm sure we all saw this coming. Brandon Holmes reimagines today's Super Bowl XLVIII opponents as hockey teams — with hockey jerseys. What do you think? Are the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos brands better suited to football?

We'll return to our regular International Sunday fun next week.

0697: Anaheim Preview

It's been reported the Anaheim Ducks are considering promoting their third jersey to the new home set as early as next year. That could bring with it some other changes, as imagined by Brandon Holmes. First, he offers up a white version for road games. Then, how about a new alternate — in orange! Could you see these completing an updated set of Ducks uniforms in the near future?

0684: New Year, New Bolts

Happy New Year! Hey, believe it or not there's more than one NHL game on the schedule today. The Lightning are in Vancouver today — and so am I. And that's the reason for Tampa/Vancouver Week. Brandon Holmes gets 2014 started with a sharp two-tone blue set for the Bolts.

And as a bonus, here's a rare one. A completely original uniform and logo design from Devin Durocher. I like his simplified logo. Not sure about the third jersey. Thoughts?

We'll go back to the Canucks to finish out the week!

0639: Beautiful Brooklyn

I thought I'd wrap up our Islanders Sunday series with a phenomenal logo and uniform designed by Brandon Holmes. He's come up with an alternate logo for the Brooklyn third jersey inspired by the Isles' lighthouse logo of 1997. I give it a huge thumbs up!

With the Olympics around the corner, we'll switch back to International Sundays next weekend!
