Zephyr has produced some unique NHL-branded hats in their time. Most intriguing to me is that it seems a past edition of the Snapback series was designed by someone who was color blind. And it inspired Bryan Dyck to create a series jerseys based on the unusual colors.
It makes for the perfect Freak Out Friday post.
They're pretty bizarre, but I kind of dig Chicago and San Jose. Are there any you like?

And finally, you knew we'd have to end up here — the New England Whalers. They did survive the WHA's merge with the NHL, but were renamed the Hartford Whalers. If the team never moved to North Carolina, imagine what they might've looked like in their original colors.

/I'm always impressed by this guy. Morgo Uxbridge takes on the Arizona Coyotes in his latest hand drawn jersey concept. He's built a great set featuring current and past logos but fully inspired by traditional hockey sweater design.
Fixing Tampa Bay's Third
/If you're siding with those who think the Lightning's new third jersey could use some work, today's concept post is for you. Kevin Dion has a simple fix that tackles the prime complaints — the wordmark crest and too much black.
Meanwhile, we get concepts on back-to-back days from Tristan Mani, who actually put together this prediction last week. But it also works as a fix.
I like the blue sleeves on both jerseys, but the blue and silver waist stripes on Tristan's win it for me. Which of the two do you prefer?
