This morning the Chicago Blackhawks revealed the logo they'll wear on their uniforms at the 2019 NHL Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium on Jan. 1.
It's a replica of the crest the club wore on their original sweaters back in the 1920s and '30s. It's not an exact match. The original was a much cruder drawing of the Native American face, but the typography does have a nice retro feel.
The announcement came by way of a video posted across their social media channels this morning. It also seemed to confirmed Icethetics JerseyWatch speculation that the club will wear its original black and white sweaters.
Get ready for a whole lotta stripes!
I can't wait to see these in action! What about you?
UPDATE 8/24 · By the way, the Bruins just unveiled their Winter Classic logo, too!
