0485: Gold for Boston

Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final picks up tonight in Boston, so I got to thinking about how the Bruins could really use a new third jersey. A gold one. And I wasn't alone. Bastian Schmülling had a similar idea and came up with this gold and brown number. What are we waiting for? Let's get this on the ice already!

Failing that, Chance Waddell has this simpler idea that invites more gold and less of anything else. Face it, a gold jersey is in Boston's future. Just make it happen.

0484: Team Italy

Here's one we haven't done before. Our International Sundays bring us this week to Italia. Bastian Schmülling continues to offer sharp and unique national team sweaters with this one. Wonder what country we'll get next Sunday.

0477: Team Finland

Back to our International Sundays this week with Bastian Schmülling's take on the Finnish national team's uniforms. As usual with Mr. Schmülling, they're pretty sharp. And he's got another good one coming next Sunday!

0473: Fixing the Lightning

I like to celebrate my birthdays with Tampa Bay Lightning concepts. This year, I think Bastian Schmülling has hit the jackpot. If you're not a fan of those monochromatic Bolts sweaters, this is how you fix them. I love the inclusion of silver and the victory stripes under the arms. The one change I might suggest is contrasting shoulder yokes as a nod to the original uniforms.

0459: Dallas Stars III

On Day 1 we had one concept. On Day 2, two concepts. Today is Day 3 of Dallas Stars Week. First up is Brian Brideau, who's borrowed his design from a couple of sources. First, the running theme of the day is the Stars logo designed by Torch Creative and how it's been implemented by our artists. Brian's also borrowed the new jersey design recently unveiled by the WHL's Prince Albert Raiders. Overall, it's a very cool look!

Bastian Schmülling went with a green-only version of Torch's logo. His monochromatic set is absolutely gorgeous as far as I'm concerned. It's the Red Wings of green sweaters and one of my favorite concepts.

Finally, David Paul Kerr shares his primary and alternate uniform designs based on the Torch logos. He has a more traditional sensibility that includes Dallas' gold and black. All three of these are great. And while Torch has said they did not design the team's new logo, they've put together an awesome concept.
