Black Out Friday

The Hurricanes currently use a black-on-black shoulder patch design on their third jersey. Brian Brideau took the idea to the next logical step by doing that to the entire jersey. It would be completely illegible on the bright white ice. Happy Freak Out Friday!

/Over the next four weeks, I have a special miniseries to present. Brendan Hennessy has designed fauxback jerseys for 30 NHL teams, imagining how they might've looked a century ago. The task is simple for teams that actually are that old. But it gets interesting for teams that have not.

This might be better suited for a Friday, but I really like the idea. Caleb Fuller gives us kind of a two-tone alternate jersey for the Devils. It's a pretty cool idea I'd love to see executed on an actual jersey someday.
