Houston Eagles

This week's custom team comes from Jeremy Roney, who writes:

Based the team in Houston as a potential NHL expansion [franchise]. Pulled the colors and logo idea from Texas and their patriotism. The specialty jersey is a fauxback honoring the Houston Aeros of the WHA and their championships with the Howe family.

Do you think this would this be a good look for Houston's eventual return to pro hockey?

Beaver Pride

College Saturday takes us to the top of Minnesota and Bemidji State University. Jake Miller created this sharp uniform set for the Beavers. Check out their website for photos of the team's existing jerseys.

Black Out Friday

The Hurricanes currently use a black-on-black shoulder patch design on their third jersey. Brian Brideau took the idea to the next logical step by doing that to the entire jersey. It would be completely illegible on the bright white ice. Happy Freak Out Friday!

Throwback Thursday: Pacific Division

Over the next four weeks, I have a special miniseries to present. Brendan Hennessy has designed fauxback jerseys for 30 NHL teams, imagining how they might've looked a century ago. The task is simple for teams that actually are that old. But it gets interesting for teams that have not.

Look for new Throwback Thursday posts featuring each NHL division for the next few weeks.

Jersey Split

This might be better suited for a Friday, but I really like the idea. Caleb Fuller gives us kind of a two-tone alternate jersey for the Devils. It's a pretty cool idea I'd love to see executed on an actual jersey someday.
