Please forgive any mangling of the French language I may be guilty of, but I couldn't help myself there. Today we have uniform sets from Bastian Schmülling for three Quebec-based QMJHL clubs. The fact that they're all bleu is just a coincidence.
This might be a cool fauxback jersey for a future Winter Classic involving the Flyers. That is until you realize it's basically the Senators' Heritage jersey with Philly colors. Still, newcomer Greydon Ginter presents us with an interesting idea for a team that's gone through very few design changes during it's long history.
Now there's a group of words that don't belong together. But this is the kind of thing you just can't do to the Blue Note. D'Arcy Murphy is giving us something to be thankful for today. Thankful that the Blues have never worn a jersey like this.
The Islanders definitely made the right call switching back to royal blue a few years ago. But maybe in their final season before moving to Brooklyn, the club should do a couple of special one-off type jersey nights. Jack Holmes would like to see navy blue come back with a unique set of sleeve stripes.
