World Series of Hockey

With the 2016 World Series underway, Ben Shaffer wondered what the two teams vying for a baseball title might look like as hockey teams. This is what he came up with.

Color Versus Color

What would be cooler than a Winter Classic where neither team wears white? The Blues and Blackhawks could pull it off this year with a blue-vs-red outdoor match-up like this one proposed by Adam Rickert.

Freaky Blue Jackets

These have been sitting in the old Icethetics vault for a few years now. But better late than never, right? Jeremy Tuch had a couple of crazy ideas for the Columbus Blue Jackets. They're not bad — they're just more suited to a Freak Out Friday.

Bold Isles

This one's been sitting in the vault for a little while, but we haven't had a good Islanders concept in a while. Dylan Nowak goes with some unique, bold stripes to make this jersey really stand out.

Rechromed

Long before the first Stadium Series made it "cool" to have a chrome logo, the Philadelphia Flyers were doing it in 2002. It was not received well, but John Elbertson thinks it could be saved.

I paired the Flyers' chrome logo with my personal favorite template, and threw in some Oklahoma State gray pants for good measure. Maybe they can wear this for their upcoming chrome anniversary. I forget what year chrome is though.

My next idea involves fixing the Buffaslug, another reviled aesthetic that I actually liked. Might take a while though.
