Thomas Hopkins put together this Winter Classic concept for 2014. He envisions the game taking place in Winnipeg between the Jets and the New Jersey Devils. Odd partners sure, but as classic hockey jerseys go, you could do worse.
Since we missed out on a Ross Taylor concept this week for a special Friday the 13th posting, I'm giving the first half of this Winter Classic Weekend to Ross. Some time ago, he put together a couple of jerseys for the 2012 Winter Classic between the Flyers and Rangers. An improvement over what we actually saw or not?
I know, Ross Taylor's brand-blending series usually occupies this space, but it's Friday the 13th so we're doing something a little different. I don't think Brian Brideau necessarily meant for this concept to conjure Freddy Krueger, but when I saw it, it did. So what do you guys think? A fun one-off for the Preds on Halloween or a future Friday the 13th?
David Baratta sent in this Adirondack Phantoms concept last week while I had the minor league theme going. He suggested it for a Freak Out Friday, but I'm not so sure that's where it belongs. It's actually a very interesting set. I particularly like the look of the purple and black third jersey.

In concept designing efforts, we often talk about the difficulty of finding a unique color scheme for a given team. I think Tyler Meyer has found the perfect one for the Ducks in green and orange. It has three things going for it in the color department alone: it's brighter, has no black, and lots of green! I even like the giant stripes on this jersey. Between this and the Kings concept I posted on Monday, the Pacific Division could look pretty amazing if Icethetics concept artists had their way.
As you may have read the comments, Tyler was pretty thrilled to see some of the feedback on his concept. So he took some of your ideas into consideration and provided this home and road set for your enjoyment. Personally, I think the old duck mask logo works better with this look and color palette, but really it's fantastic either way.
