Lucas Daitchman thinks he's stumbled on something brilliant with his latest Identity Swap — and I really have to agree. Usually when we talk about cats and dogs, it's about how much they don't get along. So who knew the Coyotes branding would work so well with the new look of the Panthers?
Today's concept comes from a new contributor and Finnish design student, Atte Nurminen. He writes:
I wanted to take a shot at a brand that I always felt had many good ideas but still lacked something. So I tweaked it a bit and added a little "Top Gun" there and some "blue steel" here — yes, the grey areas on the jerseys are suppose to have a faint shine on them.
I'd be stunned if the Washington Capitals ever again make a departure from their patriotic red, white and blue color scheme. But if they do, I did always like the black, blue and bronze from the late 1990s. Ryan Christensen has given them a redesign with that palette in mind.
If the Oakland Seals were still playing in the NHL today, I'd have suggested they hire Petter Furå to redesign their logo and uniforms. No matter what they would've had, this would've been better. Positively stunning.
