0307: Apocalyptic Freak Out!

So, the world didn't end. But how crazy would it be if it did, right?! Instead, I present to you a zombie apocalypse as only Icethetics can. Excellent work by Sean Cox — who, if you remember, submitted a number of great logos to the IceHL Project in 2008. Zombies! They're coming!!

0306: Black & White Isle

I used to think there was no way to design a good hockey sweater using only black and white. I changed my mind today. This New York Islanders concept by Thomas Hopkins is inspired by the decision of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets to adopt this simple palette when they moved into the building they will soon share with the Isles. (End run-on.) Needless to say, I'm a fan.

0305: An Avalanche of Justins

Today we get a pair of Colorado concepts from a pair of artists both named Justin. Justin Cox provides new home and road jerseys for the Avalanche — which I like a lot better than the team's existing set.

And Justin Wiltron offers an alternate jersey. Together, these three would make a really nice set.

0304: Islanders Re-Bourne

We're close to wrapping up the Re-Bourne series. The Islanders are the 19th team that Andrew Bourne has taken on since he started with the Ducks back in July. I doubt he'll do all 30 NHL clubs, but it's certainly been an interesting ride. What do you think of this set?

0303: The Americans

Got a fun one today. Brian Brideau altered the New York Rangers' Lady Liberty logo so it could work as a modern day New York Americans crest. Then he created a really interesting jersey to put it on — with lots of stars and stripes.
