0604: Brooklyn Black and White

As promised, Islanders Sunday starts this week. After two months of Seattle concepts, I wanted a place to showcase some of the intriguing Isles concepts that have been showing up in my inbox since the Brooklyn move was announced.

Justin Wiltron is first up. Naturally, we had to start with a black and white one, but don't worry, this new theme won't just be a repository for monochromatic musings. We'll get plenty of blue and orange in here as well. There's some really neat ideas in store.

0592: Bleu We Dare?

Justin Wiltron writes, "Do I dare try to add something to a historic Montreal arsenal? Yes."

Let the hockey season begin!

0549: The Next Wave

If yesterday's teasers are to be trusted, the San Jose Sharks will unveil their new home and road jerseys today! So while we wait, a couple of concept artists have produced their take on what we might expect based on the three teaser images the Sharks released.

First up is Justin Wiltron, who is probably very close. I'm not so sure the white will extend all the way down, but other than that, he could be on the money. It's a nice, simplified look that would work well for the Sharks.

Brian Brideau has essentially the same thing, except for — I think — a more accurate waist striping pattern. But as for the sleeve stripes, I think it was clear from the first teaser they aren't diagonal. Then again, it's hard to say for certain.

Looking forward to seeing what we actually get — and how close our concept artists got!

0523: Fixing the Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks' identity crisis has been well-documented. Four different logos in 40 years and probably more to come. However, they already have in their arsenal all they need to perfect their look, as Justin Wiltron shows us. Then they could just leave it alone for the next half-century.

0462: Dallas in Winterland

Hope you guys aren't getting tired of the Stars yet. We still have a lot to do. And being this is a Winter Classic Weekend post, I thought I'd share this one from Justin Wiltron. The throwback feels of both sweaters could work should the Stars ever participate in an outdoor game.

BONUS CONCEPT

David Kerr was first to get me a concept featuring the apparent new logos of the Dallas Stars, which leaked on Thursday night. The striping is a little similar to the Blackhawks but overall it's a pretty sharp look. I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar when I'm in Dallas on June 4.
