Five by Christian Legault

I'm bringing back a fun series from July called "Five by..." featuring a handful of concepts by an individual artist. Let's kick the week off with Christian Legault. His Oilers and Coyotes designs knocked my socks off.

By the way, last time around we featured Colin May, Nick Burton, Bastian Schmülling, Dylan Nowak, and Steven Grant. This week features five new artists.

Farewell Turd Burger

Fresh on the heels of news that the Buffalo Sabres will ditch their third jersey — termed "turd burger" by their own owner — after this season, Christian Legault takes one final stab at making it look a little better without fundamentally changing everything about it. How did he do?

Nouveau Nordiques

This Quebec Nordiques concept from Christian Legault is an update of a design first showcased here on Icethetics back in August. And there there's this.

He did another more recent update to the design with these jerseys.

What do you think of the revisions?

Quad City Trio

The ECHL's Quad City Mallards hosted a special jersey design contest in October. A handful of artists wanted to share there work with the Icethetics community. What do you think?

Ross Taylor has a sharp, classic look.

Eric Andrews went with something simple.

And finally, Christian Legault decided on a faux retro sweater. Hard to pick a favorite here.

Cats With Stripes

I count 52 individual stripes on this uniform. Christian Legault has gone all out with this concept for the Florida Panthers. Question is, would you ever want to see it in real life?
