The Original 7

Now for something completely different. Forget the Original Six. Lucas Daitchman reimagines the NHL's early days in what he's calling the Original 7. What might the league have looked like if the early part of the 20th century included teams like the Calgary Cowboys, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins and Vancouver Canucks?

Freaky Florida

Inspired by some unused Florida Panthers logos from the early 1990s, Jack Phillips takes a stab at a new look for today. But it's kinda freaking me out.

What the Cats Need

The Panthers are unlikely to have a new third jersey until at least 2019, but when the time comes, they should probably give Jack Phillips a call. This is the one. Great retro look within their present branding.

Outside in the Sunshine

Jack Phillips is pitching the idea of an NHL Stadium Series game in Florida. I've always been a fan of the idea. As one last hurrah for the Trop, rename it back to the ThunderDome for a night, and bring the Bolts and Cats together. I'm not sure they could really wear anything but their original jerseys from the '90s — but these aren't bad either.

Florida Revised

Anthony Cinerari takes a look at a redesign of the Florida Panthers' uniforms — including a collegiate-style third jersey.
