Year-End Wish

We've made it to the end of another year of concept art. Bastian Schmülling takes us home with a great redesign for the Buffalo Sabres. If wishing made it so.

So that does it for 2014! I'm currently traveling but when I get home, I'll compile our annual list of the top concepts of the year. Which designs do you think will make it?

Just a Few Changes

There are no shortage of great fixes for the Ottawa Senators' lackluster uniforms. Some designers go all out and change up the whole kit, but Dylan Nowak has only made a few adjustments to yield a solid design that's miles away from where it began.

The Star

It's the last week of the year and newcomer Konstantin Kuehn gets us started with a great look for a Dallas Stars third jersey. How about that?

O Canada!

The next time Team Canada takes the ice, Steven Grant would have them wearing something like this. Some may complain about the inclusion of black but this is just a great look.

An Extreme Winter Classic

Colin Magee has submitted a lot of great artwork to IceHL design contests in recent years. In fact this year alone he entered two winning logo designs for the Geneva Mountaineers and Osaka Samurai. In 2013, he designed the winning Vancouver Lumberjacks uniforms.

Today, however, brings his first appearance on the Concepts page. Inspired by an unused design proposal for the Avalanche (seen on Icethetics in July), Colin conceived of a 2016 NHL Winter Classic between between Colorado and Anaheim with some unique throwbacks.
